With over 30 years of solid experience in the IT and telecom industry, implementing working strategies for the provision of innovative digital technologies, Dr. Talaat was tasked with a chief mission to lead Egypt’s Digital Transformation Initiative, 2020.

Dr. Talaat is confident of what immersive technologies can offer to serve as a strong arm to empower vital sectors of the economy and realize the Sustainable Development Strategy: Egypt Vision 2030.

Dr. Talaat’s endeavor aims to oversee the implementation of several strategic projects, that include developing and securing the country’s IT & telecom infrastructure, creating a generation of professionals specialized in advanced digital technologies, spurring innovation and improving government performance and quality of services offered to the citizen-as a main objective of the government’s digital transformation mega program.

A strong believer in the power of youth as active participants in the socio-economic development of the nation, Dr. Talaat led a number of digitally-based empowerment initiatives to engage professionals to support such belief. Throughout his career, Dr. Talaat succeeded in materializing exceptional investments, merges and acquisitions to attract and nurture Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to the country and create the value-add.

Under his leadership, before joining the Government of Egypt, Dr. Talaat spearheaded IBM Egypt’s expansion plans, ensuring the creation of unique job opportunities and the establishment of centers of excellence to export digital services. Throughout his career at IBM Egypt, he held various leadership roles till he headed the firm.

Dr. Talaat was an Adjunct Professor at Cairo University with teaching experience in market and sales strategies and tactics, organizational behavior and strategic management. He was an honorary member at the ICT Board at Cairo University, member of the ICT Board of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, and the Chairman of ICT Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Talaat earned his Doctor of Business Administration from the University of Paris - Paris School of Business and obtained a Master of Science in Computer Science from Illinois Institute of Technology, and holds an MBA from Paris ESLSCA Business School, France. He is a graduate of Cairo University’s Faculty of Engineering.

Dr. Mohamed Kamal is leading the Cybersecurity Department at the Ministry of Finance of Egypt, with over 24 years in the IT field in general, and in network and security in particular. Also has extensive experience in training in the public and private sectors, exceeding 20 years.

In addition to obtaining a Ph.D. With a research thesis on “the impact of cybersecurity on e-government services” from Ain Shams University 2022, he holds postgraduate studies in information technology and entrepreneurship from the University of Connecticut - New York - USA (2008), a fellowship degree in information technology and data security from Crowder College - Missouri – USA (2010), and the International Executive Director Program from India 2012

He has received several honors from the US State Department and the General Union of Top Students in the United States during his studies in the United States of America.
I also received certificates and letters of thanks from many parties in America, India, and Egypt.

Dr. Mohamed is a certified engineer from several international companies, such as Microsoft, Cisco, and EC-council. He is also a certified cyber security analyst from EC-council.

Hisham Mohamed Aly is the Chief Information Security Officer with over 10 years of experience in cybersecurity. He is recognized as an ITU Cyber Security Expert by the United Nations and was formally named to the IFSEC Global “Top Security Influencers for 2020.” He serves as a member of the Blockchain Committee at the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) and is a renowned public speaker. Hisham is also an expert in blockchain, fintech, and IoT. His accolades include being awarded CISO of the Year at the Arab Security Conference in 2018 and 2020, CISO of the Year by IDC in 2019, 2020, and 2021, and CISO Rising Star at the Arab Security Conference in 2019. Additionally, he received the Covid-19 Superstar Global CISO Award in 2020 and the Covid-19 Superhero CISO Award for the MEA Region from Enterprise IT. Hisham frequently delivers cybersecurity training at various events and occasions.

Ahmed Barakat is an experienced Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) with expertise in cyber resilience, risk management, and strategic planning in the financial sector. He is skilled in developing cyber-attack scenarios, refining information security strategies, and ensuring regulatory compliance within the banking industry. Ahmed is also dedicated to continuous learning and personal development.

A highly experienced IT professional with over 24 years of experience in both Teaching and Computer Networks. He possesses a unique blend of technical expertise and instructional skills, allowing him to effectively train and support individuals in various IT domains. Proficient in network design, implementation, and maintenance (including DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Routing, and more). Holds certifications from CISCO, Microsoft, EC-Council, VMWare & Honeywell.

Extensive experience as a freelance instructor, delivering courses on Networks, Information Security, Hardware (A+), Light Current systems, Microsoft Office, and AutoCAD. Has trained over 7000 students and customized training programs for the Oil & Gas Sector, Transport Sector & other various sectors.

Mohamed has 33+ years of experience in both IT and Information security. 14+ years as Chief information security officer in several banks in the region. Mohamed has wide experience of developing and executing information security strategy, program, roadmap and aligning with business strategy including digital transformation. Expertise in teams building, motivation, developing skills with real teamwork spirit to serve implementing required information security strategy. Served as a trusted partner of executives and stakeholders with a focus on enabling the business to operate in a secure manner. Leverage broad and deep expertise in both IT and business aspects of security and risk management. Mohamed certified: CISM, CISA, CISSP, CRISC and Master of business administration from Alliance Manchester Business School.

Dr. Ahmad is a seasoned leader in Information Security and Information Technology, bringing over 24 years of experience to the field. With a focus on spearheading secure digital transformations and implementing effective risk management strategies, Dr. Ahmad holds a Doctorate of Business Administration, alongside professional certifications from esteemed organizations such as ISC2, ISACA, and PMI. Widely recognized for his expertise, Dr. Ahmad serves on jury panels and has received multiple awards for his significant contributions to IT security. Throughout his career, he has led pivotal projects, successfully integrating specific technologies across various sectors, thereby enhancing security measures and operational efficiency. Dr. Ahmad's dedication to excellence and innovation continues to shape the landscape of Information Security and Technology.

Bahaa is graduated in Computer Science 2005, also he holds two masters’ degrees in Computer Science and Business Administration, of more than 20 years’ experience Information Technology, Telco, Banking & Financial Services, Cloud and Digital Transformation in Egypt, Gulf, and Europe worked for Huawei, HP, Oracle, Vodafone, Banque Misr and currently, as Chief Digital Transformation Officer at Suez Canal Bann leading the journey of digital & AI transformation adopting best-in-class FinTech solutions utilizing modern architecture and smart security controls.

I’m the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at MDI – the first Digital bank in Egypt, with 13-year tenure in the banking industry within different banks. I hold an MBA from ESLSCA University and graduated as Communication & Electronic Engineer from Ain Shams University.

Starting at IBM in the EMEA region, I spent eight years handling the regional security delivery and presales services. My move to the banking sector allowed me to focus more on the customer side and be aware of the vital need for protecting critical information assets and systems. Currently I lead a multifaceted team encompassing Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), Cybersecurity, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and Security Operations Center (SOC).

My professional expertise is further solidified by a suite of prestigious certifications, including CISSP, CISA, CRISC, and ISO 27001 Lead Auditor. I also hold the esteemed "Certified Director" certificate from the Egyptian Institute of Directors (EIOD) and certified in two advanced courses from “SANS Institute”. Finally, I’m a part-time technical instructor for notable security certifications and public speaker in cyber security & technology events.

With over 20 years of experience in information technology and risk management, Mohamed Kamaly has cultivated a robust background in identity management and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC). His career path has led him through various roles in IT and risk management, culminating in his current position as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). As a CISO, he oversees strategic initiatives to safeguard organizational assets and ensure compliance with industry regulations. His expertise lies in implementing robust security frameworks and fostering a culture of cybersecurity awareness within his organization.

Ahmed’s career encompasses over 23 years of proficiency in Top IT Management within multicultural regions. Currently being a “Group IT Director” in Wadi Group; Ahmed was a “General Manager” for the “Planning and Program Management Division” in TE Data; started as a “Division Manager” for the “Billing Operations and Application Development” since 2009, then a “General Manager” in “Program Management and Application Support Division” since 2011, prior to his last post in TE Data.

Ahmed is a candidate for the Doctoral Degree in Business Administration from Maastricht School of Management (MsM) based in Netherland (2nd globally ranked business doctoral degree, DBAStudies.com 2013). He is an MBA holder from Ecole Supérieure Libre des Sciences Commerciales Appliquées (ESLSCA), France, 2011. Ahmed received a diploma in Software Skills and Systems Development from Information Technology Institute (ITI), Egypt, 1998. He received his Bachelor Degree of Engineering with a minor in Communications from the Alexandria University in 1997.

Mahmoud Salaheldin, has over 20 years of experience in the IT / Cyber Security fields, spending most of his career in Digital Security Consultation, and Delivering end-to-end Security Technology Projects.

Mahmoud holds multiple professional certifications such as CGEIT, CCSP, CISSP, CISA, CISM, C-CISO, ISMS 27001 LA, PMP and MBA.

Mahmoud’s experience in the areas of Digital Security, Cloud Security, Penetration Testing, , Digital Forensics, Risk Assessment and Management, Audit and Security Governance, Compliance and developing. SOC Maturity Assessment.

Mahmoud is successfully providing consultation for large enterprise security projects in various government / industry verticals serving many reputable organizations and companies nationally in the Middle East and Africa.

Anthony in his current role is heading the Cybersecurity division of the Ministry of Health and Population- Egypt and is establishing and monitoring cybersecurity rules in the ministry. He is also the Head of infrastructure team on the ‘UHI project’ along with many other important roles within the ministry.

Prior to joining the Ministry, Anthony has worked with ‘Egyptian Ambulance Organization’ (EAO) as the ‘Director of tracking and controlling Department’ and ‘Head of Technical support Division’.

Mohamed ElSharkawy is an accomplished Information Security Manager with over 14 years of experience in safeguarding organizational data and assets. Currently leading the information and cybersecurity team at AlAhly Capital for Micro Finance – Tamkeen.

Mohamed developed an early interest in technology. He pursued a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Cairo University and later earned professional certificates with a focus on Information Security Management such as CISM, CISSP,ISO27001 LI, OSCP,TOGAF.

With expertise in risk management, incident response, and compliance, Mohamed is known for his strategic approach to information security. His leadership has resulted in numerous successful audits and the implementation of cutting-edge security measures that have protected sensitive data.

A firm believer in continuous learning, Mohamed is committed to mentoring the next generation of cybersecurity professionals. He advocates for a proactive security posture and emphasizes the importance of adapting to emerging threats, such as those posed by artificial intelligence.

Maged Mansour is a Professional CISO, Cyber Security Director, responsible for overseeing organization’s overall cyber security, supervise aspects of IT security including design, development, implementation, incident response, budgets, and adherence to various regulations. He is a IT & Security Project manager with experience more than 21 years in the industry. Has Managed large scale systems, all kinds of networks (electric - sound - media - computer - telephone - security - IP systems – access controls- motion detectors sensors- x-ray metal detectors) and software deployment projects with full oversight for design, development, deployment and production. Possessing an in-depth background in Business Analysis, Information Security, programming, Customer service, Documentation, Training, managing technical teams, new smart cities technology, digital transformation, Creating IT Strategies, and Project budgeting and cost reduction. Manage daily IT, Administration Security operations for more than 1000 sites located all over the country. He is a passionate leader who shares the goals of organizations and facilitates their achievement.

Osama M. Hijji is a Group CISO with 25 years of experience in Information/Cyber Security Management in various disciplines including brokerage, banking, insurance, trading, private equity, microfinance, payment, telecom, government, health, IT & military with oversight & insight in security technology, cyber defense, offensive security, governance, risk, compliance, IT security, OT/IoT security (ATMs, Phone Banking, Mobile Wallet, Mobile & Internet Banking, SCADA, Industrial Control Systems, etc..), cyber security (SOC, IRST, CERT, red teams, war-gaming, pen-testing, etc...), physical security & security intelligence (digital risk protection, brand protection, threat intelligence, attack surface management, etc..) in local, multi-national, private & public sectors firms/institutions. A seasoned cybersecurity professional with 18 years of experience and a master’s degree in cybersecurity from EC-Council University. Kareem currently serves as the Interim Chief Information Security and Risk Officer (CISRO) at the American University in Cairo, where he leads the Security Operations Center (SOC), governance, risk, compliance, and business continuity programs. He is responsible for ensuring compliance with global privacy standards, managing information security, and achieving certifications such as ISO 27001.

Previously, Kareem held the role of Information Security R&C Director and EMEA InfoSec Head at Sutherland Global Services, where he spearheaded security and privacy initiatives across multiple regions and industries. His leadership led to the successful attainment of certifications like PCI DSS and HITRUST, supporting sectors such as telecom, banking, technology, and healthcare.

With an advanced academic background and certifications including CCSP, CCAK, CEH, and VMware VCP, Kareem combines technical expertise with strategic insight, driving cybersecurity maturity and aligning IT security with organizational goals.
